Stabbed by Uncle During Argument in Baghdad
The man, whose name I never learned, waits for treatment at Medicine City Hospital, Baghdad, Iraq. As with many times I photographed in Iraq, I didn’t have a translator. Two friends who brought him in said he’d been stabbed eight times, during an argument about Sadaam Hussein. His physicians were struggling to keep up with the influx of patients, and I never found out more about who the man was, or why he’d been stabbed. He received stitches and was released.
