Jose was one of the awesome students from Madison High School (he’s since graduated) who help make Earthstock—a prom for students with physical, emotional or mental challenges—possible. Tony Nitz, an administrative clerk at Harrison Park School in Portland founded the dance 19 years ago, at the request of a student with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy.
