Juliet (Elizabeth Gibbs) kisses Romeo (Ty Boice) in Post5 Theatre’s production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, at Milepost 5, a low-cost housing community for artists in Portland, Oregon. The theatre company, which launched this year, updated the Aug. 26, 2011 production to include modern dress, Budweiser-guzzling (in place of wine, naturally) and other less-than subtle gestures to make the play more accessible to modern audiences. It was fantastic.
