Not a Good Place to Commit Suicide, Portland, Oregon
Someone (who was talented, and who has a wicked sense of humor) placed this sign on the Eastbank Esplanade of the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon. The craftsmanship is exemplary! It was indistinguishable from a municipal road sign.
You can’t see the base of the sign, which the practical joker set in concrete, in a gallon coffee can. He or she (the joker in question) didn’t bury the base in the ground, but it sat there for a couple of days before someone (an admirer? the authorities? the state Department of Tourism?) hauled it off.
